Meth bust in Olean

On Tuesday at about 9:35 p.m. members of the Olean Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and the Patrol Division executed a search warrant at 119 ½ South Third Street. Arrested were 24-year-old Derek Varnum of 119 South Third Street and 35-year-old Corry Wymer of 824 North Union Street. They were both charged with Unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the third degree, a class D felony. The Street Crimes Unit acted on information from the community and after a short investigation they obtained a search warrant signed by Olean City Court Judge Palumbo.
