No Charges to be Filed in Fatal Waneta Lake Accident

The investigation by the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office into a boating death on Waneta Lake in August has concluded, and D.A. Joe Fazzary says that it was a tragic accident and no charges will be filed.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, 17-year-old Owen Thomas, of Brighton, died after falling overboard around 8 p.m. on August 10^th.  Two other people were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
