Allegany County Sheriff's Blotter

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on March 31st, 2017, following an investigation in the Allegany County Jail, Deputies arrested Alec T. Pratt, age 21 of 117 Stevens Street, Wellsville NY for three Counts of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree. The charges stem from phone calls allegedly made by Mr. Pratt to a protected party named in an order of protection while he was incarcerated at in the Allegany County Jail on unrelated charges. Pratt was processed and then transported to the Town of Scio Court where he was arraigned and remanded back to the Allegany County Jail on $1,000.00 Cash Bail or $2,000.00 Bond.  Mr. Pratt will reappear in the Town of Amity Court on April 5th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. for additional court action.

Allegany County Sheriff Ricky Whitney reports that on March 31st, 2017 Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Wellsville Police Department with the arrest of Joseph A. Bush, age 32 of Belmont on a Bench Warrant issued out of the Village of Wellsville Court. Bush was located by Deputies at the county office building in Belmont, processed, and turned over to the custody of the Wellsville Police Department.
