Feels-like temperatures are forecasted to reach between 90 and 95 degrees tomorrow, Thursday, July 24 in Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Erie, Essex, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Otsego, Schuyler, St. Lawrence, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Warren, Wyoming, and Yates Counties.
Feels-like temperatures are forecasted to reach between 96 and 105 degrees tomorrow, Thursday, July 24 in Albany, Cayuga, Clinton, Columbia, Dutchess, Genesee, Greene, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Saratoga, Schenectady, Seneca, Ulster, Washington, and Wayne Counties.
The dangers of heat can affect everyone. If possible, stay out of the sun and stay in air conditioning. Drink plenty of fluids, preferably water. Continue monitoring updates to the forecast by visiting weather.gov then search for your zip code.
Keep children and pets in air conditioning if possible. IF OUTSIDE: wear light-colored loose clothing and a hat. NEVER leave children or pets in a car.
If you have signs of heat stroke, seek medical attention immediately. Signs of a heat stroke are:
Extremely high body temperatures.
Red, hot, and dry skin with no sweat.
Rapid, strong pulse.
Dizziness, confusion, or unconsciousness.
