Pennsylvania State Police investigate deadly motorcycle
crash in Potter County
A woman was killed and a man badly injured in a motorcycle
crash on State Route 155 in Keating township. Troopers listed the operator as
74-year-old Randy L. Cornelius of Roulette. He suffered serious injuries and
was taken to UPMC Cole in Coudersport. A passenger, 57-year-old Nancy M.
Destevens of Gaines, PA was rushed to Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital by an
air ambulance where she was pronounced dead. Troopers said the 1971 Harley-Davidson
was traveling southbound when it crossed the double yellow line and struck a
guardrail. Both riders were ejected off the cycle. Police said they each were properly
wearing helmets. State police said the crash remains under investigation with charges pending.
