On 10/9/2018, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s received a call
about a male subject leaving a husky dog at Wal-Mart in Warsaw. It was reported
that the dog had gotten out of the vehicle and the owner, later identified as
Sean CAREY, 29 of castile, gave up trying to locate the dog after a short time.
Carey never reported the dog missing to proper authorities. Some witnesses were
able to get a hold of the dog and kept it safe until the arrival of a Deputy.
On the following day, the Deputy took the dog to Perry Veterinary Clinic who
was able to track the dog to its original owner. After contacting the previous
owner, the Deputy was able to identify Carey as the person who had left the
dog. Carey was charged with abandonment of an animal. The dog, Luna, was
returned to the previous owner.

Wyoming County Sheriff's Blotter
On Thursday, Wyoming County Sheriff’s responded to Route 20a
and Fisher Road for a two car crash reported with injury. During the
investigation, it was alleged that Shawna Lamont, 28 of Perry,
was traveling East on Route 20a and failed to notice a vehicle stopped
and awaiting a safe opportunity to turn left onto Fisher Road. Lamont rear
ended that vehicle which resulted in the driver being taken to WCCH for minor
injuries. Deputies found that Lamont was operating on a suspended ID only.
Lamont had a total of five suspensions. Deputies charged Lamont with AUO 2nd
degree, operating without a License, Following too Closely, Obstructed View,
Unsafe Tire, and Failed to Notify DMV of an Address Change. LAMONT was
arraigned in Warsaw Court and remanded to Jail on $500 bail. Assisting at the
scene was Warsaw Fire Department along with Karson’s Garage.
