New York State Police Blotter – July 15/16, 2025
7/15/25 11 a.m. – On April 4th, Amity-based state police investigated a sex offense in the town of Friendship. On Tuesday, troopers arrested Jacob Daniel Dutton, 23, of Jamestown. He was charged with first-degree sexual abuse by forcible compulsion, criminal obstruction of breathing, endanger the welfare of a child less than age 17 and forcible touching-involving intimate parts of another person. He was booked into the Allegany County Jail for Central arraignment, where a judge ordered him detained on $5,000 cash bail. Additional court action is pending.7/16/25 2:19 a.m.- On June 12th,
Olean-based state police were called to investigate a burglary in the town of
Allegany. Wednesday morning, troopers arrested Darryl Harper, 56, of Wellsville.
He was charged with third-degree felony burglary. He was held on bail bond.
Wellsville police assisted at the scene on Madison Street.
7/15/25 2:04 p.m.- Bath-based state police investigated
a burglary in the village of Canisteo. On Tuesday, troopers arrested a
15-year-old name-protected youth from Cameron Mills. The teen was charged with
felony grand larceny where property value exceeds $3,000 and felony burglary.
He was taken to the Steuben County Jail for Central arraignment. Previously,
trooper also filed the same charges against a 15-year-old Canisteo youth.
7/15/24 7:16 p.m.- After being called to investigate
a missing child, Hornell-based state police arrested Rayco I. Teneyck, 48, of
Arkport. Charges were filed for the attempt to commit the crime of DWAI,
aggravated DWI with a child in the vehicle, first-degree aggravated unlicensed
operation and endangering the welfare of a child. Court action is pending.
