Irene
A. Mountz Harrold, formerly of Middlebury Center, Pennsylvania, passed away
Saturday, May 24, 2025 at her daughter's home in Cuba NY after a
brief illness.
Born
on May 21, 1931, in Angelica, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of Clarence M.
and Anna Berringer Dietrich. In 1955, she married Harry D. Mountz, Jr.,
who predeceased her on December 19, 1967. On August 27, 1974, she
married Paul C. Harrold who predeceased her on October 3, 1997.
Irene
was a graduate of Shillington High School. She was a devoted wife and
mother caring for her family. She enjoyed jigsaw and
word puzzles, crafts, crocheting, and sewing.
She
attended the El Bethel Fellowship Church, Osceola, PA.
Irene
is survived by;
Two
daughters Louise (Terry) Borneman of Wellsboro,
PA and Louella Conklin of Cuba,
NY.
Her
grandchildren Lindsay Mountz, Jonathan (Paula)Barnett, Anne (George Phillips)
Drayton, Amanda Mason, Heidi (BJ) Howe, and Jennifer Lusk.
Her
great grandchildren Jocelyn, Tia, Braelyn, Apollo, Malanna, Charlie,
Jacob, Savannah, Mya and Skye, and two great great grandchildren
A sister Beatrice
(James) Kramer of Reading, PA, two sisters-in-law Alma “Mickey” Dietrich of
Mohnton, PA and Marjorie Harrold of Lorain, OH, a daughter-in-law Alice
Mountz of Pottsville, PA, and several nieces and nephews
In
addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by two sons Gerald L.
Mountz and Robert L. Mountz, two brothers Russell and Walter Dietrich, and a
son-in-law Charles “Zip” Conklin.
Graveside services
will be held at Christ Yocum’s Lutheran Cemetery on June 28, 2025 at 11:00
