New York State Police Blotter – Dec. 21, 2024
12/21/24 2:12 p.m.- After responding to a call in the
town of Amity, state police arrested Alexander W. Cavanaugh, 28, of Belmont. He
was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on an
appearance ticket for court.
12/21/24 4:29 p.m.- During a traffic stop in the town
of Friendship, Amity-based troopers arrested John M. Kraus, 56, of Friendship.
He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and felony first-degree
aggravated unlicensed operation with a permanent revocation. He was transport
to the Allegany County Jail for Central arraignment.
12/21/24 9:15p.m.- Two people were injured in a
single vehicle crash in Yorkshire. State police arrested the driver,
47-year-old Mariah Ann Sampson of Arcade. She was charged with felony
second-degree assault for allegedly causing injury to a police officer,
firefighter, EMT or nurse. She was additionally charged with felony DWI, felony
first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and obstruction. Court action in
pending.
