On November, 20, 2024, the annual Allegany County Board of Legislators Republican Leadership Caucus was held to select the party’s candidates for leadership in the coming year.
Current Board Chairman W. Brooke Harris (Alfred, District V) was selected as Republican Candidate to continue in that role. Kevin “Fred” Demick (Angelica, District I) was selected as the Republican Candidate for Vice-Chairman of the Legislature. Steven Havey (Wellsville, District IV) was selected as Majority Leader for 2025. The candidates will be voted upon by the full Board of Legislators at their Organizational Meeting on January 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the County Legislative Chambers
