Flooding - Steuben county declares State of Emergency

NO unnecessary Travel Till Further Notice

Due to widespread flash flooding, Steuben County has declared a State of Emergency.  Residents throughout the County must avoid all unnecessary travel until further notice.  There are multiple roads that are unpassable and emergency responders are handling dozens of calls at the present time.

The Town of Greenwood has also declared a local State of Emergency prohibiting all traffic.

Residents should stay off the road until further notice, unless absolutely necessary, to ensure that emergency vehicles and public works equipment can respond to the emergency.  Highway and Fire Officials are out and working.  Please do not call 911 unless it is for a true emergency.

This State of Emergency will remain in effect until further notice.
