Obituary: Delores J. Fields, 88, Caneadea

Delores J. Fields:  Mother, Grandmother 

Delores J. Fields, 88, of 7803 Crawford Creek Road, Caneadea, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Olean General Hospital after a short illness. 

Born on March 29, 1936, in Andover, she was a daughter of Glenn R. and Vivian E. Swain Cooper.  On March 29, 1958, in the Cuba First Baptist Church she married Howard W. Fields who predeceased her on May 9, 2018.

Delores had worked as a waitress at the former Belvidere Truck Stop. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of grandchildren when needed. 

Delores is survived by a daughter Linda (Danny) King of Zephryhills, FL, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a brother Glenn (Kay) Cooper of Cuba, a sister Judy Illebrun of Perry, several nieces and Nnphews. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son Michael J. Fields on February 4, 2013, a daughter Debra Mahon on February 28, 2017, and her siblings Kenneth Cooper, Evelyn Covert, Anna Olmstead, Erma Ingraham, Nalene Perry, Ina Joy, Audrey Bolton, Nadine Cooper, and Lorraine Cooper.  

In accordance with Delores’ wishes, there will be no services at this time. 

Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
