For more than two decades, the National Weather Service (NWS) delivered river observations and forecast products and services via the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS). This legacy system needed to be modernized to support newer innovation with technology and provide a more mobile-friendly user experience. On May 28, 2024 the NWS replaced AHPS with a new website, the National Water Prediction Service (NWPS). This new site can be viewed here.
NWPS will be accessible at https://water.noaa.gov. The former AHPS link (water.weather.gov) will redirect to this new page for a limited time. Again, please update any of your bookmarks.
