Allegany County remembers fallen officers

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Offers Memorial Day and the week as National Police Week. During this week, we honor and remember the brave souls lost in the line of duty.

Five of Allegany County’s finest have lost their lives while serving and protecting our communities. This week, and every day, we honor these men who gave their lives for the citizens of Allegany County.
