ALBANY, N.Y. Aug. 21, 2020 — NYSUT President Andy Pallotta issued the following statement on the appointment of Jim Malatras as the next chancellor of the State University of New York system:
“On behalf of our members working on SUNY campuses around New York State, I offer our congratulations to Dr. Malatras on his appointment to be the next SUNY chancellor. The challenges ahead are great as we face the ongoing COVID pandemic and the budget crisis here in New York State.
