Niagara Falls man goes to prison for Allegany County crime
Allegany County court was busy Monday sending people to state prison. 26-year-old James Coughlin is the latest defendant to go to the big house. Judge Terrance Parker sentence Coughlin to serve 2 1/2 to 5 years in prison for his felony burglary conviction. In March 2019, Coughlin broke into a home in the town of Hume and stole jewelry and coins. Judge Parker declared him a predicate felon, sent him to prison, assessed a $325 surcharge, $183.90 restitution and a $50 DNA fee....just for good measure (and it's the law).
