Allegany County Transit Service received meals from Lions Club
On Wednesday, June 24th the Lions of District 20-E1 provided 25 lunches for the employees of the Allegany County Transit Service. The lunches were delivered by District Governor Rick Whitney, Second Vice Governor Curtis Burdick, and Past District Governors Chuck Switzer and Jim Scheibel. The district received a COVID emergency grant from the Lions Clubs International Foundation to provide respite services to first responders and essential workers. DG Whitney said that the Lions wanted to thank these essential workers for providing transportation and keeping the district moving during this crisis. Lions District 20-E1 encompasses the Lions Clubs in the counties of Allegany, Wyoming, Livingston, Genesee, Monroe and Orleans. On June 17th the Lions delivered 650 lunches to the Regional Transit Service in Rochester which covers all of the counties in the district except Allegany.
