NYSP Newsroom: Complaint leads to Rushford DWI arrest for Porter man

Fillmore-based Troopers Friday arrested Brandan M. Schmitz, 20, of Porter, NY (Niagara County) for Driving While Intoxicated. Troopers investigated a report of a male drinking alcohol in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business on State Route 243 in the town of Rushford. They determined Schmitz had allegedly been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Schmitz was then arrested and transported to SP Fillmore, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.08% BAC. Schmitz was released with appearance tickets for Rushford Town Court, where he is due to appear in June.
