Knife-wielding man injures two Wyoming County Deputies

Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a residence on Telegraph Road in the Town of Eagle for a domestic dispute. The suspect, Ryan J Priel, 38 of Bliss, was in possession of a knife and he fought with deputies at the scene. He was taken into custody, but his actions caused injury to two deputies. He was charged with Assault in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (both felony crimes) and two counts of Menacing in the Third Degree. Priel was arraigned in Wyoming County Court and committed to jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. He is to appear in the Town of Eagle Court at a later date. The Wyoming County Sheriff Office was assisted at the scene by New York State Police, Arcade Police Department, and New York State ENCON Police.
The incident was reported to have occurred on March 20th.
