Please join us for a vegetable and berry growers meeting on irrigation. Hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension-Allegany County, Allegany County Soil & Water Conservation Service and Natural Resource Conservation Service; the program will be held at Off Duty Inc. located on State Route 244 in Belmont, NY.
Open to commercial (sales of any amount), beginning and aspiring growers; the program will cover tips and strategies for planning and designing suitable irrigation systems, plus maintenance and operations issues. In addition we will cover timing of irrigation for maximum plant benefit, how drip irrigation influences the health and marketability of fruits and vegetables, plus how soil management plays an important role in getting the most out of irrigation.
