Obituary: Cheryl A. Stanley, 71, of Shinglehouse
Cheryl A. Stanley “servant of the Lord”
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Cheryl A. Stanley, 71, of Shinglehouse, formerly of Latrobe, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2019, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on Thursday, June 24, 1948 in Latrobe, she was a daughter of Chester and Eleanor Shirey Fyalkowski. On March 17, 1984 in the Latrobe Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, she married David A. Stanley, who survives.
Cheryl attended Latrobe schools and graduated from high school in Deland, Florida. She was employed for 25 years as a medical secretary in the radiological department at the Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette.
Cheryl was a member of the Latrobe Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the former Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Shinglehouse. She loved to read and do word search puzzles. Her greatest love was her Lord and her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sisters, Donna (Paul) Mularski of Mt. Pleasant and Karen (Michael) Toth of Latrobe; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chuck and Estella Stanley of Shinglehouse; four nieces; and two nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by a sister, Bonita Odom.
Family and friends may call from 10a.m. to 11a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 11a.m. with Anthony Stanley, Cheryl’s nephew and the pastor of Verndale Alliance Church, Verndale, Minnesota, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

Cheryl’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
