Wellsville: Madison Street Bridge creeps towards replacement
The $2.5 million replacement of the Madison Street bridge in
the Village of Wellsville could get a bump forward Monday when the Allegany
County Legislature meets. A resolution before the lawmakers asks them to green
light the project. The county would have to pay about $109,000 (It's in the budget). The village and
town would pitch in a combined $19,000 or so. The state and the feds would pick
up the balance. The pending resolution does consider the bridge -quote-of
significant importance.
