Public hearing set for Wellsville Airport funding

The Allegany County Legislature today voted to approve a public hearing on a local law to provide funding for the Wellsville Municipal Airport. The hearing will be held July 8th at 2 p.m. in the legislative chambers. Lawmakers also gave the go ahead for the eventual replacement of the Madison Street bridge over the railway in Wellsville. There was an error in the funding, but it won't impact local costs.
Legislators also approved:

• Setting a public hearing for a community development block grant.
• Granting salary increases to some employees.
• Creating one full-time position of Aging Services Technician.
• Approval of sale of 2019 tax sale properties.
