Travel Advisory - SR 417 Culvert Work, Town of Andover, Allegany County

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that culvert repair work on State Route 417 westbound near Elm Valley in the town of Andover will begin on May 29, 2019.  A permanent shoulder closure will be in place for the duration of the project, with occasional temporary short-term lane closures managed by flaggers.  The project is anticipated to last approximately four weeks.

It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.

Motorists are urged to slow down and safely move over when approaching roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
