Wellsville - Donald S. Walker, 86, of Stannards, NY, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in his home surrounded by his family. Born January 8, 1933, in the Town of Willing, he was the son of Glen and Margaret Cornwell Walker. On November 16, 1957, in Scio, he married the former Elizabeth “Betty” Jacobs, who survives. He was a graduate of Wellsville Central School. A Korean War Veteran, he served honorably in the US Army from January 9, 1953 to December 23, 1954. He was employed as a pipe welder by Consolidated, now Dominion, at the Harrison Valley and Sabinsville, PA stations. Surviving besides his wife, Elizabeth, are: four daughters, Gale (Jerry) Varney of Dansville, Victoria Walker of Wellsville, Lynn Walker of Mooresville, NC, and Ellen (Lance) Cornelius of Wellsville; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Kyle N. Walker on August 8, 1999; two sisters, Roberta Young and Reba Pendleton; and infant brother, James Walker. Friends may call Friday, May 17, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Marty Reisman will officiate. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Scio. Military Rites will be accorded by members of Morrison B. Hayes American Legion Post #702.
