NY State Police Blotter

4/18/19 5pm- After investigating an incident on April 16th in the Town of Hume, state police arrested a name-protected 11-year-old boy from Portageville. He was charged with assault-recklessly causing serious injury with a weapon, a class D felony.
4/19/19 3:20am- After conducting a traffic stop on Park Circle/West main Street in the village of Angelica, state police arrested Kristina L. Slack, 38, of Belfast. She was charged with felony first-degree aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, operating while impaired by drugs, endangering the welfare of a child, speeding and moving from a lane unsafely. She was processed and released on appearance tickets for court.

4/18/19 8:10pm- State police arrested Andrew J. Worthington, 24, of Rushford for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Non-Original Container. Troopers investigating a report of a vehicle parked partially in the roadway on Maple Grove Road in the town of Freedom, observed Worthington, the operator of the vehicle, allegedly exhibiting "obvious signs of impairment." He was also allegedly found to be in possession of suboxone, for which he did not have a prescription. Worthington subsequently failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a  Drug Recognition Expert evaluation revealed him to be impaired. Worthington was arraigned in Freedom Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond. He is due to reappear in that court in May.
