The film, for individuals and families, will be shown at
Knights Creek Church, 2987 Knight Creek Road (County Road 9) as part of the
church's extended connections ministries to the community.
Magdalena is the true Biblical story of Jesus, seen through
the eyes of Mary Magdalene. The film,
released earlier this year, reflects how one woman, deep in hopelessness, found
freedom as she was delivered from her past.
It reveals what can happen when women refuse to live in defeat and
choose to discover their real value.
Free refreshments will be provided, along with games and
movies for younger children.
Monthly First Friday activities alternate between a movie
and a coffee house of wholesome entertainment suitable for families, along with
refreshments and games.
The church also provides a free Community Dinner each week
following its 11 a.m. service, along with special community meals to celebrate
various holidays and special occasions.
Weekly dinners are followed by free music lessons for children and
adults, taught by members of its Venezuelan music team.
Through January 20, Knights Creek is hosting a 9:45 a.m. to
10:30 a.m. Sunday study for teens and adults on Life's Healing Choices,
designed to help attendees find freedom from hurts, hangups and habits that may
even have been ongoing for years and may be particularly painful during the
holidays
The DVD/gender-specific discussion series is taught by Rick
Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in California and author of the long-time,
best-selling book, Purpose Driven Life.
The public is invited to participate, including those from other
churches who can attend and return to their home churches for 11 a.m. services.
From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays the church hosts Celebrate
Recovery | Celebrate Victory, an ongoing support initiative through testimonies
and lessons for individuals and youth who are
It holds a 6 p.m. Sunday night service, a 6 p.m. Wednesday
night Bible study, a 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. weekday community prayer gathering,
and other events during the month for individuals and families.
