Wilma T. Bedwell, 93, of 7372 Rt. 19 North, Belfast, passed
away unexpectedly Monday December 3, 2018 at Jones Memorial Hospital,
Wellsville, New York. Born March 6, 1925 in Pike, New York, she was the
daughter of Emmett and Olive Bowen Bedwell. On November 24, 1943 in Macon, GA.,
she married Charles P. Bedwell who predeceased her on March 5, 1996.
Wilma had resided most of her life in Belfast. She grew up
in Bliss and moving to Attica she attended school there and graduated in 1942.
Following Charles' service in the Army, they moved to Fillmore where they
worked on a dairy farm and later bought a dairy farm outside of Belfast on Rt.
19, retiring in 1973.
Wilma enjoyed baking and contributed to community bake
sales, attending bingo, and playing cards. Most of all she loved being with her
family and friends.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Belfast
Robert L. Howden American legion Post 1504 and the Belfast Betterment
Association.
Surviving are a son, Steven C. (Sheila) Bedwell of Bulverde,
TX; three daughters, Glenda (Robert) Fisk) of Chiefland, FL, Dorreen (Gary)
Learo of Sarasota, FL and Tabatha (Will) Robinson of Vienna, MD; 10 grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter; a sister, Rowena
Schuster of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Wilma was predeceased by two brothers, Merland Tisdale and
Henry Tisdal; a sister, Emeline Peet; and a grandson, Jordan Learo.

the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast on Friday, December 7, 2018 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
where funeral and committal services will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018
at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Robert Mackmer of Belfast will officiate and burial will
be in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore. Memorials may be made to the Belfast Betterment
Association.
