Obituary: David Lloyd Mann, 71, Greenwood

GREENWOOD - David Lloyd Mann, 71, of Andover St., passed away Monday morning (December 10, 2018) at the Bath VA Medical Centers.
Born in Hornell, June 4, 1947, a son of Lloyd R. and Bernice J. (Madison) Mann, he had resided in the Canisteo and Greenwood area his whole life. After high school Dave honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1970, and then spent two years in the Naval Reserves. During his time in the military Dave served aboard the USS Iwo Jima and was part of the Apollo recovery team. Dave was a member of the Greenwood, Wellsville and Canisteo American Legions. He was a past Commander of the Greenwood American Legion. Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother; Donald Mann.

He is survived by a son; Jeremy Mann of Troupsburg, a brother; Terry (Pat) Mann of Andover, 4 sisters; Constance Mann of Hornell, Judy Cheney of Salt Lake City, Laurie (John) Cheesman of West Bloomfield and Carol Mann of Greenwood, a sister-in-law; Kathy (Gene) Smith and a granddaughter; Emma Mann as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will observe a private graveside service at the Greenwood Cemetery with full military honors.
