PORT ALLEGANY, Pa.- James A. “Diamond Jim” Archer, 56, a
lifelong Port Allegany/Keating Summit resident, passed away with his loving
daughter by his side on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport,
after a short battle with cancer.
Born on October 10, 1962 in Port Allegany, he was a son of
Edwin and Genevieve Lewis Archer.
He was a graduate of Port Allegany High School, Class of
1981. A hard worker, Jim was employed by
Robinson Flagstone in Port Allegany. He
was also a bartender for several establishments before an injury curtailed his
working career.
His greatest love was his family.
At a young age his mother passed away and he was raised by
his loving aunt and uncle, William “Bill” and Ella Mae Robinson.
Surviving are a daughter, Jessie M. Armour of Emporium;
three grandchildren, Aaron James Crawford, Hunter Edward Akins, and David J.
Akins III; his uncle, William “Bill” Robinson of Port Allegany; seven siblings,
Edwin (Linda) Archer, Rick (Deb) Archer, Linda (Pete) Ayers, William K. Robinson, and Loretta (Clark) Barber, all of Port
Allegany, Deb (Gary) Dubois of South Dakota, and Robin R. Robinson of Roulette;
and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his
“second mom”, Ella Mae.
At the current time, no services are planned.

Jim’s family has entrusted his care and cremation to Kevin
J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home,
Shinglehouse.
