Warners - Florence "Flossie" Thomas Kammer 86 of
Warners, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 suddenly in her home. She was born July
8, 1932 in Centerville, a daughter of the late Fred and Amy Wolfer. On July 1,
1950 she married John "Joe" Thomas Jr. who predeceased her. On July
23, 2008 in Warners she married John Kammer who survives.
"Flossie" loved farm life, loved her cows and
helping "Joe" fix fence. She had a passion for collecting red glass
and cow figurines, loved country music and dancing years ago at Sam's Dance
Hall. She loved attending the Jeff E. Thomas Memorial Weekend each year.
One of her favorite activities were Sunday dinners and
playing cards. Her nine kids along with her terrific grandchildren and
great-grand children were her pride and joy.
She worked at Houghton Nursing Home until she retired. She
was a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Baldwinsville.
Surviving besides her husband are her children, Joe (Linda)
Thomas of Machias, Jean (Louis) White of Short Tract, Jim (Kathy) Thomas of
Fillmore, Joan (Lori Palumbo) Thomas of Belfast, Jay Thomas of Centerville,
Jevon (Jim Monteleone) of Perry, Jame Thomas of Eldred, Pa, Jarrod Thomas of
Machias, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two brothers, Fred
(Martha) Wolfer, Curt Wolfer, a sister, Vivian Kurylo and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her first husband and parents she was
predeceased by a son, Jeff E Thomas, a daughter-in law Inge Thomas, four
sisters, Verna Young, Eunice Mc Gibney, June Roblee, and Martha Wolfer.
Family and friends may gather at the Centerville Fire hall
at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 20, 2018 for a memorial service to celebrate
"Flossie's life. There will also be a memorial service at the Baldwinsville
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
