Olean: Rally Thursday to support Southern Tier Anesthesiologists- Olean General selects new provider

Olean General Hospital has said its decision is final, but supporters of the ousted Southern Tier Anesthesiologists plan to hold a rally Thursday at 6 p.m. Supports will meet at Lincoln Park in Olean. Some local law makers are also expected to attend. Organizer Rick Smith told the Times Herald that he’s not giving up. The hospital opted to end its contract with the local company and inked a new deal with a Buffalo-based firm that begins next year. A support petition with some 2,000 signatures was delivered to Olean General’s Board and CEO last week. The hospital has maintained its decision is final.
