HORNELL - Mary F. Greene, 80, of Collier St., formerly of Arkport passed away early Saturday morning (September 1, 2018) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, NY, May 1, 1938, the daughter of Arthur and Natalia (Carson) Tucker, she had resided in the Hornell and Arkport areas her whole life. Mary was a graduate of Alfred-Almond Central School. On July 27 1957, Mary married Melford Greene who survives. Mary was a member of the Women of the Moose in Hornell and also a member of the Hornell Association. She and her husband Melford delivered for Meals on Wheels for 7 years. Mary was an avid bowler and belonged to a bowling league. Her family and friends meant the world to her. She was a very loving and caring person.
She was predeceased by her parents, a son; Melford Jr. (Bub), 2 brothers; Frank and John Tucker, and 3 sisters; Laura McCormick, Faith Bolds and Sylvia George.
She is survived by her husband; Melford Sr. of Hornell, 3 daughters; Patti (Jim) Green of Hornell, Sandy (Aden) Ingalls of Tennessee and Karen (Ken) Lorow of California, 5 Brothers; Richard, Ron (Sherry), Jim, Bob, and David Tucker, 1 sister; Sally Ormsby, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, as well as several close friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be present on Sunday (9/9/2018) from Noon-2 p.m. , at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where a memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2 p.m.
Friends may make memorial contributions to: the Comfort Care Suite at St. James Hospital, the Vincent House of Wayland. Friends are also encouraged to volunteer a small portion of their time to the Meals on Wheels program.
