Cuba police step of security - cameras are watching

Recently an added security measure was put into place to protect the main corridor of the village as well as the new memorial to our veterans in Genesee Park. According to police chief Dustin Burch, state of the art camera monitoring systems were put into place to safeguard "the beautiful tribute to our local veterans." Burch says the following groups and agencies came together through a shared services initiative to complete this project: The Cuba Chamber of Commerce, The Cuba Town Board, The Cuba Village Board ,Village of Cuba Highway Department, Cuba Fire Department and the Cuba Police Department. The equipment and services were paid for as part of the last leg of the Veterans Park project and everything was funded by donations from the public. The Chief added, "we will now be able to review footage if there are ever any issues or vandalism at this park or monument and deal with these issues in a timely and efficient manner. Thank you again to all of the groups that came together to make this happen."
