RICHBURG - Virginia A. “Tink” Thompson, 94, of 182 Evans
Street passed away Wednesday, August 01, 2018 at Olean General Hospital. Born
on May 9, 1924, in Rushford, she was a daughter of Clifford and Vera Davis. She first married William Ours who was killed
while serving during World War II. She
then married Rexford L. Thompson who predeceased her in 1982.
Virginia was a graduate of Rushford Central School. She had
been employed by ACME Electric of Cuba and Motorola of Arcade New York. She was
active in the Bolivar American Legion Post 387 Auxiliary, the Cuba VFW Post
2721 Auxiliary and a member of Cuba AMVETS Post 1. She is survived by a son Larry (Deborah)
Thompson McKinney, TX, a daughter Patsy (Bill) Hanson of West Seneca, New York;
her grandchildren, Steven, Brian, and Jayson; 7 Great Grandchildren; a brother
Laverne (Jean) Davis of Lakeland, Florida and her longtime loving companion
Paul Tuttle of Richburg, New York. In addition to her parents she was
predeceased by two brothers Ellsworth “Sam” Davis and Walter Davis. There will
be no visitation or funeral services.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Cuba
Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
