Matthew A. Bartlett |
On November 16, 2013, New York State Troopers from the
Wayland barracks received a stolen vehicle report at 2620 Ellinger Road in the
town of Wayland. Upon arrival troopers interviewed the complainant who stated
an unknown subject stole his 2011 Toyota Sienna. On November 17, 2013 the
complainant’s stolen vehicle was recovered, unattended, at an address in
Livingston County. The vehicle was secured and a Trooper, specifically trained
as a crime scene technician, responded, processed the vehicle and secured DNA
evidence. Subsequent to receiving the DNA results from the New York State
Police crime lab, Matthew A. Bartlett was identified
as the suspect. After a records check it was determined Bartlett was currently
incarcerated in state prison. Upon his release, Troopers arrested Bartlett, age
45, #7706 Kellogg Road, Springwater, N.Y. and charged him with one count of
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, 4th degree, a class “E” Felony.
Bartlett was arraigned in Steuben County Court, in front of County Justice
Patrick Roche. Bartlett was released on his own recognizance and ordered to
re-appear in County Court at a later date.
