Amity Daze - July 13th & 14th

BELMONT — The annual Amity Daze festivities is set for July 13 and 14. Events begin at 9 a.m. July 13 with the opening of the Belmont Betterment Association’s Maggie McNinch Memorial Theme Basket Auction. Tickets will be sold again from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 14, with drawings conducted at 2:30 p.m. The auction has been named in honor of Maggie McNinch, officials said, a very active Belmont Betterment Association member who passed away from cancer. To donate a basket by July 10, call (585) 268-7837. The annual classic car and truck show will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 14 in Park Circle, with the Genesee Valley Central School Robojags robotics club demonstrating from 1 to 3 p.m. The Methodist Church hot dog sale will begin at 11 a.m. on the church lawn, while the Belmont Betterment Association $10 chicken barbecue will also begin serving at 11 a.m. on the library lawn.
