Solar Facility Siting Workshop

The Allegany County Office of Planning is working with NYSERDA’s NY-Sun Office to provide an all day workshop for local municipalities on Siting Solar facilities in your community.  The program will be held Wednesday May 30, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Crossroads Center in Belmont, NY.  This is offered as a free workshop and is geared to Mayors, Supervisors, Assessors, Code Enforcement Officers, Planning and Zoning Board members, and legal counsel for local municipalities.  Topics include planning and zoning for solar energy systems, permitting and inspections, Payment-in-Lieu-of-Tax (PILOT) agreements, siting on farmlands and in NYS Agricultural Districts, model solar energy laws and more.
