Alle-Catt Wind Farm Project Public Hearing Is Monday

A proposal to construct 108 600 foot tall wind turbines in northern Allegany and Cattaraugus counties will be the subject of a public hearing Monday. The 7 p.m. session will be held at the Farmersville Fire Station. In Cattaraugus County, the turbines would be located in the towns of Freedom and Farmersville. In Allegany County, the project would include the towns of Rushford and Centerville. The wind energy project has been proposed by Invenergy, a major wind power generation company. The company hopes to have the project operational by late 2020 if approvals are granted.
