April 17 - Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that, with the assistance of the City Hornell Police Department, Deputies arrested Bradley M. Crandall, age 50 of Hornell, on a Violation of Probation Warrant issued by the Village of Wellsville Court. Crandall, was located by the City of Hornell Police Department and turned over to Deputies. Crandall was then processed and transported to the Village of Wellsville Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail set at $2,500.00 cash or $5,000.00 bond, and is scheduled to reappear in the Village of Wellsville Court on May 15, 2018 at 4:30 pm for additional court action.

April 17 - Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Travis L. Varner, age 24 of Genesee, PA, on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Varner, who was being released from the Allegany County Jail on unrelated charges was processed and transported to Allegany County Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail without bail awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
