Allegany County low-level sex offender receives probation for failing to register online account

A low-level sex offender has been sentenced to three years probation after he failed to register an online account as he is required to do. The sentence was handed down to 43-year-old Michael Gawlak of Caneadea. According to prosecutors, Gawlak had a "MeetMe" account for two months using the screen name "MikeG." The law requires Gawlak, a level one offender, to register social media accounts within ten days of creation.
