Pennsylvania Fire Commissioner resigns amid sexual harassment claim
The Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner has been relieved
of his duties, according to a Harrisburg TV station. A spokesperson confirmed
to ABC27 that Tim Solobay resigned his cabinet position. Sources told the TV
station that a former female staffer in the Pa. Senate lodged a complaint
against Solobay several years ago. The woman did not receive a settlement. The
Wolf administration allegedly immediately moved to cut ties with Solobay upon
learning of the harassment claim. Solobay served as State Fire Commissioner
since 2015.
