Salamanca saddened by death of Town Supervisor and his wife

The investigation continues today and charges are possible…stemming from the Friday afternoon car-pedestrian crash that killed Salamanca’s Town Supervisor and his wife, the Town Clerk-Elect. Michael and Donna Phillips were fatally injured as they crossed the street to enter the town hall. As of this morning, the Sheriff’s Office had not identified the driver involved. No word yet on funeral arrangements. For the time being, the Deputy-Supervisor will be in charge. The town board will sort things out when it meets next week.
