Obituary: Howard E. Landries, 82, Bolivar

Bolivar - Howard E. Landries, 82, formally of 233 North Main St. passed away Sunday December 17, 2017 shortly after admission to Jones Memorial Hospital Wellsville. Howard was born on November 17, 1935 in Shinglehouse, PA. He was the son of Carl and Hazel Mae Hart Landries. He married Hazel Mae Sisson on August 15, 1953 in Obi. Mrs. Landries preceded him in death on April 16, 1993. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed by the Acme Electric Co in Allegany and Cuba locations, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion Bolivar. Surviving are three sons, Stephen Landries Bolivar, Gregory (Maryann) Landries Olean, Brian (Barbara) Landries Angelica; Three grandchildren, one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Wayne Landries. Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Thursday December 21, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. A private family funeral service will follow visitation. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
