Bolivar man accused of stealing fund-raising donations for youth sports program

Wellsville Police Monday arrested Brandon G. Gaines, age 35 of Bolivar, charging him with 4 counts of Petit Larceny.  The charges stem from an investigation into the alleged theft of money by Gaines after collecting fund raising orders for a youth sports program in September of 2016.  Gaines was located by the Bolivar Police Department and turned over to Wellsville Police.  Gaines was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Judge O’Connor.  Gaines was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $250.00 cash bail.  Gaines is due back in Wellsville Village Court on December 19th at 4:30 p.m.
