Hammondsport Restaurant Permanently Closes After Second Fire
After two fires in less than a year, a restaurant in
Hammondsport has decided to permanently close its doors. Havana Cabana, at Snug Harbor, made the
announcement on their Facebook page. The
building caught fire in November 2016, and then again in May 2017 – right
before Havana Cabana was set to open.
Snug Harbor owner Tim Tompkins said they will likely have a new tenant
next year. They plan on restoring the
property and hopefully by next spring they’ll have suites for rent, an updated
restaurant and their usual docks for lease.
