Obituary: Hattie L. Robbins, 85, Wellsville
Hattie L. Robbins, 85, of Wellsville, NY, died Sunday, May
21, 2017 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, NY. Born April 14, 1932, in Genesee, PA, she was
the daughter of C. Wilber and Ina Grover Grover. On April 8, 1960, in Wellsville, she married
James C. Robbins, who predeceased her on January 2, 2016. She was employed by O’Donnell’s Convenience
Store on Dyke Street for 20 years.
Hattie enjoyed bowling, bus trips, Chinese auctions, going to the
casino, playing cards, crocheting, her English bulldogs, and time spent with
her family and friends. Surviving
are: two daughters, Marilyn (Robert)
Ruggles of Cocoa, FL and Frances McAllister of Whitesville, NY; three step-sons, Gary (Karen) Robbins of
Clayton, NY, Dennis (Judy) Robbins, of Midlothian, VA, and Michael (Ruth)
Robbins of Whitesville, NY; nine
grandchildren, Doug Ruggles, Ryan Robbins, Kory Robbins, Marc Robbins, Jimmy
Robbins, Derek Robbins, Curtis Robbins, Michael L. Smith, and Kimberly Cockle; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence (Alberta) Grover of
Genesee; a sister, Beuna (Robert) Fuller
of Wellsville; nieces, nephews, and
cousins. In addition to her parents and husband,
she was predeceased by a son, Robert;
two sisters, Mary Jean Stone and Ellen Sykora; and two brothers, Levi Grover and Lyle
Grover. Friends may call Wednesday, May
24, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral
Home, Wellsville, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00
a.m. Pastor Ed Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Wellsville. Memorials may be made to
