Road work planned for I-86 in Steuben County

State Route I-86 Roadwork at Exits 37 and 39
Town of Bath, Steuben County

            The New York State Department of Transportation today announced road work will be conducted on I-86 in the vicinity of exits 37 to 39 on Thursday, April 6, 2017.  Exit 37 will be closed for part of the day, starting at approximately 8 AM.  Traffic on NY State Route 53 should expect delays and be prepared to follow direction from flaggers guiding traffic approaching I-86.  Exit 39 will remain open, but motorists should expect intermittent delays in the area of the exit.  Flaggers will guide traffic through Exit 39, also.  At both exits, workers will assist the Town of Bath with removal of lampposts.  Exit 38 will not be affected as no work is scheduled at that location. 

Traffic should use caution and be prepared to reduce speed as necessary on interstate routes approaching this area.
