Troopers charge Corning man with forgery
New York State Troopers from the Bath barracks, in
co-operation with the Chemung Canal Trust Company bank, announce the arrest of
a Corning stemming from an investigation regarding the cashing of a forged
check. Patrick A. Mosher, age 54, of
Winfield Street in Corning, New York, was arrested on today and charged with
Forgery in the 2nd degree (a class “D” felony).
Troopers allege that, on March 15th, 2017, Mosher intentionally filled
out the personal check of the complainant in the amount of $200, forged the
complainant’s name while at a residence in the Town of Bath, and cashed the
check at the Bath branch of the Chemung Canal Trust Company. Mosher was arraigned before Town of Bath
Justice Chauncey Watches and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of
Bath Court on 04/05/17 at 3:00 p.m.
