"Never knew you existed"

As a site that runs on passion, not on advertisements, we do the best we can to reach people. The reach of this site spans several counties and generally two states. In New York, we cover (as best we can) the counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Wyoming, Steuben and Livingston. In Pennsylvania, we attempt to reach Potter, McKean and Tioga. Thirty plus years of doing this has allowed us to make many, many contacts and develop relationships. On Tuesday, while doing an interview, the person said respectfully, "I never knew you existed, who are you?" I chuckled and explained. Two hours later, after rummaging through the site, she called back and said, "Wow." Spread the message and share this site with friends and family. Yep, this site misses a few stories and events (I try to sleep 3 hours a night). Overall, however, the site is designed to provide news to you, without pop-up ads, re-directs, etc. The goal is simply to come to the site and read the news. Stay friends with your local newspapers, though. They have a staff beyond our means. We're just the underdog rascals that keep things interesting. And encourage your local radio stations to return to the 'local news now' days. They did exist!
